At Cornerstone Builders, we specialize in building custom homes. As I write this in late April, 2005, we have nine custom homes under construction with several more scheduled to start next month. We think people choose us to build their custom home for the following reasons – our Cornerstone Pledge.

 

1. We will build your home just as you want it. We do not have a small set of custom home plans and tell you that you must choose from these plans. We build your home to your specifications and desires. We will build any plan you bring us or one we help you design. You get to choose everything. We expect changes during construction. It’s your dream home. You are human. You will change your mind.

 

 

2. We will be honest in every detail. My grandfather was a bank president in Paint Rock. He said a person’s character is the best collateral. We believe that as well. You can count on us to tell you the truth. If we give you allowances on plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, floor coverings, you will pay our builders prices on all these items. If we make a mistake (we are human also), we will tell you and correct it. We will explain exactly why your house will cost what it costs (see frequently asked questions).

 

3. We will not surprise you at closing with additional charges. If your house costs more that we said it would, we will make sure you understand exactly why. In fact, if you are going to change something that will cost more money, we will explain it to you up front BEFORE you make the decision. You never have a “train wreck” (as we like to call it) with Cornerstone being surprised that your house cost more that you thought and you will not be left wondering why.

 

4. We will tell you before we start building your home exactly what our profit will be. We believe in honesty in all business transactions. We will tell you up front what we plan to make as a profit building your home and explain to you why we charge what we charge.

 

5. We will stand behind our warranty. At the closing of your home, we will give you a one year warranty on all workmanship, a two year warranty on all appliances and fixtures and a ten year warranty on your foundation.

 

6. We will do everything possible to make building your custom home one of your favorite memories. When we finish building your home, we count on you considering us a friend and missing us when it’s done!!!
